FMIS is an expanding software solutions provider supplying software and bespoke services to an international client base. We are looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to support the team and the growing client base.

About FMIS

Financial and Management Information Systems Ltd (FMIS) is a developer and supplier of computer software and consultancy. Our global client base looks to us to provide a range of solutions, including a leading Fixed Asset Management suite. Our product range is under continual development and expansion. Using the latest in Microsoft technologies we have recently implemented a selection of exciting new modules whilst continuing to enhance our Java-based offerings.

The position

The IT Support Technician role is expected to be full time and permanent. Full training will be provided, so previous experience is not essential. If you are still studying, then a part time role could be considered until your studies are complete.

What the role involves

The position offers a wide range of challenges and the opportunity to build experience across a wide range of skills. Some of the key responsibilities will include the installation and setup of FMIS software on client systems, deployment of upgrades to FMIS software for existing clients, technical support and troubleshooting of both client sites and internal systems.

Required skills

The role requires a combination of technical and soft skills.

Essential skills:

Excellent IT skills
Willing to learn
A good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (client and server)
The ability to troubleshoot computer systems, hardware and software
Good client communication skills and telephone manner

Desirable skills:

Computer Science or similar degree
Knowledge of configuring Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge of configuring Microsoft IIS
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Basic SQL knowledge
