FMIS Business Continuity and Incident Management

Cloud Security & Infrastructure

FMIS solutions are typically delivered through a secure, cloud-based environment designed to protect data and maintain system availability. Security is applied at multiple levels, covering infrastructure, access, and application controls. If you require an on-premise installation, please contact us for more information.

All cloud systems are hosted within a secure, controlled environment. Development, support, and system management are handled by the FMIS team, providing consistent oversight across all deployments.

FMIS Uptime and Availability

Availability and resilience

The platform is designed to provide reliable, continuous access.

  • 99.95% uptime commitment
  • Regular, automated backups
  • Defined recovery and failover processes
  • Continuous system monitoring

These controls support service continuity and allow systems to be restored in the event of disruption.

FMIS Access Control and Authentication

Access control and authentication

Access to FMIS systems is controlled through defined user permissions and authentication measures.

  • Role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Configurable password and security policies
  • Optional access restrictions where required

This ensures that users have access only to the information and functions relevant to their role.

FMIS data protection and privacy

Data protection controls

Data is protected through a combination of encryption and application-level controls.

  • Encryption in transit and at rest
  • Controlled access to data within the application
  • Separation of development, testing, and production environments

These measures help protect data throughout its lifecycle.

FMIS Cloud Architecture

Network and infrastructure security

Infrastructure is protected through layered security controls.

  • Firewalls and network segmentation
  • Intrusion detection and prevention measures
  • Continuous monitoring of systems and activity

These controls help detect and prevent unauthorised access or abnormal behaviour.

FMIS Secure Logon

System access

FMIS systems are designed to be accessible without compromising security.

  • Browser-based access across supported environments
  • Mobile applications available via Apple and Android platforms
  • Secure remote access for authorised users

This allows users to access the system where required, while maintaining control over how access is granted.

FMIS Secure Cloud Hosting

Hosting and data residency

FMIS cloud solutions are typically hosted in the UK, with data stored and managed within a secure, controlled environment. In some cases, on-premise or client-hosted deployments are also supported where required.

This provides:

  • A consistent and controlled approach to data handling and security
  • Alignment with UK and EU data protection expectations
  • Centralised management of infrastructure and services

Client data is not passed outside of FMIS for processing without prior agreement. While systems are accessed by organisations internationally, hosting and operational control are typically UK-based.
