FMIS Incident Management

Incident management

Security and operational incidents are managed through a structured process under the FMIS Information Security Management System (ISMS). This includes defined escalation procedures, integration with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and clear responsibilities for managing and resolving incidents.

  • Incidents are identified, logged, and assessed
  • Issues are prioritised based on impact and severity
  • Actions are taken to contain and resolve the issue
  • Incidents are escalated where required in line with business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Incidents are reviewed to prevent recurrence
FMIS incident monitoring

Monitoring and response

Systems are monitored to support early identification of issues. Monitoring is carried out across both the FMIS application and underlying infrastructure, with defined responsibilities between FMIS and hosting partners to maintain stability, performance, and security.

  • Continuous monitoring of system activity and infrastructure
  • Alerts for abnormal behaviour, performance issues, or potential risks
  • Coordinated response between FMIS and hosting providers where required
  • Defined response procedures for investigation and resolution

This approach ensures that issues affecting availability, speed, or security are identified and addressed promptly and consistently.

FMIS Business Continuity

Business continuity

FMIS maintains controls to support ongoing system availability. This includes ISO 27001-aligned business continuity and disaster recovery plans that are regularly tested, audited, and reviewed.

  • Regular backups of system data
  • Defined recovery and restoration processes
  • Failover capability where required
  • Periodic testing of continuity arrangements

These measures are designed to maintain service and support recovery in the event of disruption.

FMIS Incident Management Recovery Approach

Recovery approach

Recovery is managed through defined plans and procedures within the FMIS ISMS, including business continuity and disaster recovery (BCP/DR). The response to any incident is tailored to its nature and scope, with recovery actions applied in a controlled and prioritised manner.

  • Systems can be restored from secure backups
  • Recovery processes are applied in a controlled sequence
  • Services are prioritised and returned to normal operation as quickly as possible

Recovery arrangements are regularly reviewed and tested to ensure they remain effective.

FMIS Continuous Improvement

Continuous improvement

Incident management and continuity processes are reviewed regularly.

  • Incidents are analysed to identify root causes
  • Lessons learned are incorporated into procedures
  • Controls are updated as systems and risks evolve

This supports a consistent and improving approach to managing risk.
