Benefits of Equipment & Inventory Management

The Equipment & Inventory system is fully configurable and provides both the benefits of stock control and equipment tracking within one module. The full life-cycle of a piece of equipment or a batch can be maintained using an easy set of core functions. Any capital items can be linked to fixed assets. Barcoding is supported and can be combined with an easy loan facility. Rented and owned stock or equipment can be managed within the system. Full equipment utilisation can be posted to your project system.

Bulk or Individual

Stock can be held in bulk or as individual items tracked by serial number. A BOM structure can be held at many different levels of linked items. For each type of equipment or part you can define your own set of fields to be used during the life of the item.

Additions

Items are added to the system via the receipt process, or through an initial conversion. Components can also be pulled through links to Microsoft's SCCM tool. Any network discovery tool can be linked to the Equipment and Inventory module.

Allocations/Loans

Stock can be allocated through sales orders, purchase orders, or through direct assignment of items or part batches to individual users or projects. Full equipment utilisation can also be maintained with posting through to your job costing system.

Transmittals

Bulk shipment to customers, vendors, or internal locations can be handled on a non-confirming or full confirming basis. You can create utilisation or tracking locations at any level and book the equipment stock in and out of that location. A full audit trail is maintained.

Repairs, Returns, Disposal

Any changes in the status or constitution of the batch or individual item can be tracked and there is full support for a return to vendor process. Work orders can be used to support these processes.

Flexible Reporting

The system has many standard reports allowing download to excel and also has user reporting facilities.

Links to Fixed Assets

All changes to physical items linked to Fixed Assets will generate the corresponding movement and disposal record within the Fixed Assets in-tray.
